Great Goblin by user8359476

Format: Commander

Commander: The Great Goblin

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

A Rakdos Goblin-and-Army deck built around The Great Goblin's counter-trigger and death-trigger engines. The primary plan is to amass counters on an Army or Goblin, convert each counter event into 2 damage, and then turn the huge board into combat or sacrifice damage. Krenko, Mob Boss is the hidden engine; Metallic Mimic, Blowfly Infestation, and Midnight Banshee multiply counter triggers. Secondary paths are goblin-wide alpha strikes with Goblin War Party and a late Exsanguinate. There is no true infinite combo; wins come from cumulative pings, token swarms, and occasional X-spell drain. The commander also supplies card flow through death-trigger impulse draws, letting the deck play top-of-library cards after trades. It is a grindy aggro/engine hybrid that needs one or two explosive pieces to close quickly.
