Treasure by TenguHangover

Format: Commander

Commander: The Balrog, Durin's Bane

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Rakdos deck turns sacrifices and Treasures into card advantage and then into a win. You generate Treasures with Pitiless Plunderer, Mahadi, Emporium Master, Black Market Connections, Goldspan Dragon and Smaug, Wicked Worm, and you drain opponents with Mirkwood Bats and Mayhem Devil. The Balrog, Durin's Bane is a hasty, often discounted threat that removes a creature or artifact when it dies, not the main engine. The real hidden commanders are Mirkwood Bats and Revel in Riches, which turn every token you create or sacrifice into life loss or an upkeep win. You win by grinding value and then assembling ten Treasures or a Bats drain loop.
