Deck overview

This Golgari Spider tribal deck pilots a defensive, attrition-based strategy helmed by Shelob, Child of Ungoliant. The primary game plan is to establish a board of deathtouch Spiders, use fight/bite spells to remove opposing creatures efficiently, and then pivot to combat damage as the win condition. The commander's ability to turn dead creatures into Food tokens provides incremental lifegain and a minor mana sink, but the real payoff comes from Fynn, the Fangbearer - deathtouch combat damage from any Spider delivers poison counters, offering an alternate path to victory. The deck also leans on Lure and Gift of the Deity to force unfavorable blocks, leveraging deathtouch to clear the board. Wins are slow, grinding through incremental damage and poison, with no infinite combos.
