Deck overview

This deck is a four-color Poison and Proliferate control strategy commanded by Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. The primary game plan focuses on applying initial poison counters to all opponents during the opening turns through evasive creatures like Blighted Agent or direct non-combat spells like Prologue to Phyresis and Ichor Rats. Once opponents are infected, the deck deploys Atraxa alongside counter doublers and repeatable proliferation engines like Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, Inexorable Tide, and Ezuri, Stalker of Spheres. These engines steadily escalate poison totals across the entire table simultaneously without needing further combat connections. A solid defensive backbone comprising Phyrexian Censor, Spike Weaver, and Heroic Intervention shields your life total and board state while the poison clock ticks to ten. The deck achieves reliable assembly by Turn 4, critical onset by Turn 5, and eliminates all opponents around Turn 7.
