Deck overview

This is a midrange Orzhov token-and-counters deck built around Shadrix Silverquill's combat trigger. Shadrix can't point two modes at the same player, so the deck plays a political game: it gives itself an Inkling token, gives a second player a card draw in exchange for 1 life, or distributes +1/+1 counters while building a flying board. The main path to victory is a wide, evasive swarm of 2/1 Inklings backed by anthem effects, drain payoffs, and +1/+1 counter synergies. The deck also leans hard into the "Repartee" and casualty mechanics from Strixhaven. Cheap instants and sorceries that target creatures trigger Informed Inkwright, Conciliator's Duelist, Stirring Hopesinger, and other payoff creatures. Silverquill, the Disputant gives every spell casualty 1, turning a single removal spell or token spell into a copied spell. There are no infinite combos; the win is attrition through flying combat, drain effects, and a finisher like Blot Out the Sky or Inkshield.
