Deck overview

This deck is an Esper lifegain attrition and control strategy commanded by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. It leverages Oloro's eminence ability to gain 2 life every upkeep directly from the command zone, building a solid life buffer without mana investment. The deck converts this steady life gain into incremental damage and card advantage using drain payoffs like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Lunar Convocation. As the life total climbs safely past 40 and 50, the deck transitions into decisive win conditions including Felidar Sovereign, Aetherflux Reservoir, and large Exsanguinate casts. A robust removal suite featuring Swords to Plowshares, Fumigate, and graveyard hate like Ashes of the Abhorrent keeps opposing threats in check. The deck recovers smoothly from board wipes because its primary lifegain engine remains safe in the command zone, allowing it to steadily outlast opposing decks.
