Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Jund -1/-1 counters and attrition strategy led by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The primary game plan revolves around converting -1/-1 counter distribution and blight mechanics into massive card advantage and steady life drain. Deploying Auntie Ool on Turn 4 allows any self-blighting creature to draw cards immediately, while spreading counters onto opposing boards chips away at opponent life totals. By Turn 6, the deck transitions into a dominant board state using powerful lock and wipe engines such as Kulrath Knight, Carnifex Demon, Maha, Its Feathers Night, and Necroskitter. Opposing creatures are neutralized, destroyed, or stolen, clearing the path for combat damage and drain triggers from Obelisk Spider and Rottenmouth Viper to close the game on Turn 8. While the list lacks nonland tutors and instant-speed stack protection, its dense functional redundancy, recursion package, and potent creature suppression make it an oppressive midrange engine.
