Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red group slug and burn strategy commanded by Torbran, Thane of Red Fell. It aims to turn symmetric, low-damage continuous effects into lethal asymmetric taxes. By adding 2 damage to every red source hitting opponents or their permanents, cards like Manabarbs, Spellshock, Burning Earth, and Descent into Avernus quickly deplete enemy life totals. The deck ramps on early turns using 2-mana artifacts, establishes a persistent damage engine, and resolves Torbran by Turn 4. Opponents face severe penalties for casting spells and tapping lands, leaving their boards decimated by one-sided damage sweepers like Goblin Chainwhirler and Pyrohemia. As life totals dwindle, the deck closes games around Turn 7 using burst burn spells such as Price of Progress, Fiery Confluence, or a Mana Geyser-fueled Crackle with Power. Its strengths lie in high damage velocity and board suppression, while its main vulnerabilities are stack counterplay and direct enchantment removal.
