Deck overview

This is an Izzet Pirate-tribal deck built around the partner pair of Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. The engine is elegant: whenever a Pirate deals combat damage, Malcolm creates a Treasure for each opponent dealt damage, and Kediss spreads commander combat damage to every opponent - so Malcolm connecting means three Treasures per swing. The deck floods the board with cheap Pirates, converts their damage into a torrent of Treasure mana, and then either runs the table over with go-wide pumps (Coat of Arms, Corsair Captain, Molten Echoes, Reflections of Littlara) or steals the win outright with Insurrection and Blatant Thievery. A dense counterspell suite (11 pieces) protects the engine and answers opposing haymakers. It is a midrange aggro-control build that wins through combat inevitability rather than any single infinite line.
