Deck overview

This deck is a combo-control strategy centered on Mairsil, the Pretender. Your primary game plan is to deposit key utility and combo creatures into the graveyard, cast Mairsil, and exile them with cage counters to inherit their activated abilities. By flickering Mairsil with cards like Aetherling or Deadeye Navigator, you bypass the once-per-turn activation restriction and continuously stack new caged abilities. The main win condition uses Tree of Perdition to reduce an opponent life total to 4 or less, followed by direct burn activations from Hateflayer to eliminate players sequentially or all at once.
