Deck overview

Maralen, Fae Ascendant commands a Sultai kindred crossover deck that unites Faeries and Elves into a flexible flash and card-theft engine. Early turns prioritize ramping with efficient one-mana mana dorks like Llanowar Elves and curving out low-cost tribe members such as Obyra, Dreaming Duelist and Dwynen's Elite. Once Maralen enters on Turn 4, she immediately triggers to exile cards from opponents' libraries and free-cast relevant spells based on your Elf and Faerie count. The deck amplifies this value using instant-speed flicker spells (Ghostly Flicker, Displace) and flash enablers (High Fae Trickster, Leyline of Anticipation) to trigger Maralen repeatedly during opponents' turns. Mid-game pressure builds through evasive token generators like Alela, Cunning Conqueror and Lys Alana Huntmaster, supported by life drain from Nadier's Nightblade and card velocity from Talion, the Kindly Lord. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide aerial combat and incremental burn.
