Commander: Merieke Ri Berit

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Esper control deck uses Merieke Ri Berit alongside untap engines to systematically steal and destroy opposing creatures, controlling the board through continuous attrition. Defensive enchantments like Propaganda and tax pieces slow the game down while targeted theft from Empress Galina, Willbreaker, and Sen Triplets dismantles opposing game plans. With no infinite combos, the deck secures victory by turning stolen enemy threats against their owners, generating a massive board presence through cards like Hylda of the Icy Crown and Inkshield, or grinding opponents out of resources using Death Cloud and Magus of the Balance before swinging for lethal combat damage.
