Deck overview

This Simic deck commands Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief to turn single-target spells into doubled board advantage. By casting Mutate creatures, Auras, and clone spells that target another non-Human creature, Ivy copies every spell onto herself at no extra mana cost. The deck curves out smoothly, establishing a non-Human creature base by Turn 3 and layering explosive value by Turn 4. Key mutate cards like Auspicious Starrix, Migratory Greathorn, and Sawtusk Demolisher provide rapid ramp, permanent removal, and free battlefield deployment, while Auras like Ancestral Mask and Eldrazi Conscription inflate both Ivy and her companion into lethal threats. Support pieces such as Vesuvan Duplimancy and Venerated Rotpriest generate token swarms and fast poison counters. While the deck boasts immense snowball potential and high creature redundancy, it relies heavily on creature presence, making it vulnerable to well-timed board sweepers and mass exile effects that bypass its Umbra armor and targeted hexproof protection.
