Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Changeling typal strategy led by Reaper King. Because Changeling creatures possess all creature types simultaneously, every creature spell in the deck triggers disparate and powerful tribal payoffs across Magic history. Reaper King turns every Changeling into a targeted permanent destruction spell, allowing the deck to dismantle opposing mana bases, commanders, and defensive lines. Meanwhile, lords such as Lord of the Unreal, Knight Exemplar, Voja, Jaws of the Conclave, and Patron Wizard provide hexproof, indestructible, exponential combat buffs, and counterspell utility. The deck can also execute an infinite creature combo using Turntimber Ranger alongside Maskwood Nexus or Arcane Adaptation. The game plan focuses on establishing five colors of mana, resolving Reaper King or a core payoff on Turn 5, dismantling opposing boards on Turn 6, and closing out the game through overwhelming combat damage by Turn 8.
