Deck overview

This mono-green deck uses fast ramp and non-combat tap enablers to maximize the power of Kona, Rescue Beastie. The primary plan develops mana on turns 1 and 2, casts Kona on turn 3 or 4, and immediately taps Kona using utility lands, artifacts, or combat. This triggers Survival at the start of the second main phase, putting massive threats like Blightsteel Colossus, Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, or Vaultborn Tyrant directly into play without paying their mana costs. Cheap instant-speed protection spells safeguard Kona during this critical deployment window. If Kona is removed, alternative engines like Natural Order and Defense of the Heart allow the deck to cheat or hard-cast its monsters with minimal delay. Evasive trample and infect attacks then close out the game across two combat steps.
