A Wizard Is Never Late by AnnoDracula

Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Party Guest

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gandalf, Party Guest leads a Jeskai legendary-Wizard spellslinger. The primary plan is to deploy a critical mass of legendary Wizards, then use his beginning-of-combat trigger to free-cast expensive instants and sorceries. Secondary paths include Talrand and Veyran converting spells into a Drake/wizard swarm, Balmor and Adeliz pumping the team, and Glamdring/Robe of the Archmagi doubling the value of combat damage. The deck is built around the commander's face; no hidden commander exists. It wins incrementally through combat after repeated spell chains, with direct burn from Gandalf's Sanction and Inspired Ultimatum acting as supplementary reach. The game plan depends heavily on keeping Gandalf alive and on finding legendary Wizards early to raise X.
