Deck overview

Amalia Benavides Aguirre commands an aggressive Orzhov lifegain, aristocrats, and mass reanimation deck that turns incidental life increments into relentless card filtering and board control. By pairing low-cost soul sisters like Soul Warden, Soul's Attendant, and Auriok Champion with Amalia, the deck repeatedly triggers explore whenever creatures enter under any player's control. This engine guarantees consistent land drops while rapidly filling the graveyard with high-synergy creature cards. Once the graveyard is stocked, the deck pivots into game-ending payoffs using mass recursion spells such as Raise the Past, Fix What's Broken, and Living Death, immediately triggering massive drain from Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. Alternatively, compact infinite drain combos featuring Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose alongside Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror provide instant table kills. Robust protection from Grand Abolisher, Dawn's Truce, and Clever Concealment ensures resilient execution against opposing interaction.
