Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is a spellslinger list led by Gandalf, Party Guest. The game plan revolves around flooding the board with low-cost legendary Wizards to maximize Gandalf's combat trigger, which casts instants and sorceries from hand for free with mana value up to twice the number of legendary Wizards controlled. Supported by 19 legendary Wizards, the deck quickly ramps into Gandalf by turn 3 or 4 and uses its combat step to cast high-impact spells such as Flame of Anor, Time Warp, and Urza's Ruinous Blast without paying mana. It converts this tempo advantage into a win via extra turns, Approach of the Second Sun, overloaded Mizzix's Mastery, or burn damage from Vivi Ornitier and Gandalf, Goblins' Bane. The deck boasts an interactive counterspell and removal suite with protection like Silence and Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun.
