Deck overview

This deck is a five-color creature-storm and combo archetype built around Codie, Ravenous Codex and the Prepare mechanic. The strategy revolves around deploying multi-color mana producers like Bloom Tender and Faeburrow Elder, casting Codie, and establishing untap engines such as Jeskai Ascendancy or Chakram Retriever. Once assembled, activating Codie's five-color ability prepares all creatures on board. Casting a prepared instant or sorcery triggers untap effects on Codie and mana sources while Codie copies the spell, generating substantial mana, card velocity, and magecraft triggers. The deck quickly chains through its library using prepared card draw like Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall before closing the game in a single turn via repeated Emeritus of Conflict // Lightning Bolt copies, Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate, or Flaming Tyrannosaurus damage. Supported by efficient countermagic and protection like Clever Concealment, the deck converts board presence into an explosive, same-turn victory.
