Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger-combat hybrid built around Fire Lord Azula's copy-on-attack trigger. The plan is to accelerate Azula into play with rocks and rituals, then attack: her Firebending 2 mana funds combat instants, and every spell cast while she's attacking gets copied. A single copied pump effect like Unleash Fury doubles her power twice, and a copied Temur Battle Rage adds double strike, turning her into a one-shot 21+ commander-damage threat. The deck is packed with magecraft payoffs - Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, Veyran, Voice of Duality - that generate treasures and cards as the chain unfolds, plus a dense coat of copy spells, cantrips, and cost reducers to keep the engine fed. It wins by sequential commander-damage kills, one opponent per attack, with Longshot, Rebel Bowman pings and magecraft value as backup. Fragile but explosive, it's a classic "one big turn" combat-adjacent storm deck.
