Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Control and Combo strategy commanded by Talion, the Kindly Lord. The game plan establishes early card velocity by deploying the commander on Turn 2 or 3 and naming a high-frequency mana value such as 2. This tax engine draws cards and chips away at opposing life totals while you assemble resources. The primary route to victory is the compact combination of Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation, which ends the game on Turn 4 for three mana ({U}{U}{B}). The deck protects this win attempt with efficient counterspells, including Force of Will, Pact of Negation, and Swan Song. Backup lines feature Notion Thief combined with Windfall to empty opposing hands, as well as the infinite life-drain combo of Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond.
