Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Gruul Stompy list built to deploy Ruric Thar, the Unbowed ahead of schedule while out-valuing the table with massive creature engines. By running an overwhelmingly creature-dense roster, the deck turns Ruric Thar's 6-damage trigger into an asymmetric tax that punishes opposing storm, control, and artifact strategies. The mana base leverages dense 1- and 2-mana dorks to cast 5- and 6-drop threats by Turn 4. Once assembled, engines such as Beast Whisperer, Guardian Project, and The Great Henge draw multiple cards every turn cycle, chaining into game-ending beaters like Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, and Xenagos, God of Revels. The deck relies on overwhelming trampling combat damage to eliminate opponents across Turns 5 through 7, protecting its casts with uncounterable effects like Prowling Serpopard and Rhythm of the Wild.
