meren deck by user8514702

Format: Commander

Commander: Meren of Clan Nel Toth

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Golgari reanimator built around Meren's experience-counter recursion. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard, sacrifice creatures to generate experience, and recur Gray Merchant of Asphodel and other value creatures every end step, draining opponents with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Cauldron of Essence. Secondary paths use Protean Hulk as a death-trigger tutor, Natural Order to cheat Worldspine Wurm, and Jarad to fling large creatures. Meren is the engine; without her the deck still has one-shot reanimation but loses its repeatable end-step loop. There is no hidden commander; Jarad is a finisher, not a build-around. The deck wins through incremental drain and big reanimated threats rather than a compact combo.
