The Odyssey by Guryak

Format: Commander

Commander: Homer, the Hermit

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Crab-mill deck built around Homer, the Hermit. The primary plan is to amass Crab-typed permanents and use repeated land drops-especially bursts from Scapeshift and Splendid Reclamation-to trigger Homer's landfall and mill all opponents. Bruvac the Grandiloquent is the hidden commander: he doubles every mill event, and copies like Sakashima of a Thousand Faces and Spark Double multiply Homer's trigger. Secondary paths include Syr Konrad and Bloodchief Ascension turning milling into life loss, while Field of the Dead supplies chump-blocking zombies. The commander is the engine, but fallback crabs, token makers, and land recursion keep the mill grinding even after removal.
