Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest to turn every sacrifice into explosive board-wide growth. By combining low-cost sacrifice outlets such as Viscera Seer and Warren Soultrader with recurring creatures like Reassembling Skeleton, Gravecrawler, and Putrid Goblin, the deck generates a continuous stream of sacrifice triggers. Mazirek distributes +1/+1 counters across your entire team whenever any player sacrifices a permanent, quickly turning small utility creatures and tokens into lethal attackers. Simultaneously, aristocrat drain staples like Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Bastion of Remembrance drain opposing life totals. Edict engines such as Grave Pact and Priest of Forgotten Gods provide asymmetric board control by forcing opponents to sacrifice creatures, doubling Mazirek's counter output. The deck reliably assembles its core engine by Turn 5, creates a lethal board state on Turn 6, and eliminates the table by Turn 7 through combat or infinite persist loops.
