Deck overview

This deck is an explosive mono-green token aggro strategy built around Shroofus Sproutsire. The game plan accelerates rapidly with thirteen 1-mana ramp pieces, allowing you to cast your commander on Turn 2. On Turn 3, cheap combat pump spells like Invigorate, Groundswell, or Rancor boost Shroofus into an evasive trample threat. When Shroofus deals combat damage, its trigger immediately spawns an army of 1/1 green Saproling tokens equal to the damage dealt. By Turn 4, this initial token swarm enables devastating combat payoffs such as Beastmaster Ascension, Triumph of the Hordes, or Return of the Wildspeaker. The deck protects its commander and token engine using fifteen efficient 1-to-2 mana instant-speed protection spells like Tamiyo's Safekeeping, Tyvar's Stand, and Heroic Intervention. Card draw engines like Toski, Bearer of Secrets and Skullclamp replenish your hand from attacking tokens, allowing you to easily overwhelm all three opponents by Turn 5.
