Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Syr Konrad, the Grim as a lethal commander payoff that turns every creature death, mill, discard, and graveyard transition into table-wide direct damage. The game plan focuses on deploying early resource taxes and discard engines like Oppression, Bottomless Pit, and Necrogen Mists to drain opposing hand resources, backed by potent asymmetric pieces such as Dauthi Voidwalker, Opposition Agent, and Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern. Once mana is established, the deck deploys Syr Konrad and pairs him with explosive mass-churn cards like Tombstone Stairwell, Mindcrank, Mesmeric Orb, or sweeping board wipes like Toxic Deluge and The Meathook Massacre. Tombstone Stairwell in particular generates an overwhelming stream of Zombie tokens each upkeep and destroys them at each end step, triggering dozens of Konrad pings that eliminate all three opponents across a single turn cycle.
