Deck overview

Ragost, Deft Gastronaut leads a Boros artifact aristocrats strategy that turns all controlled artifacts into Food tokens and direct damage sources. The deck establishes early board presence through low-cost mana rocks, utility cantrips, and token engines like Toggo, Goblin Weaponsmith and Academy Manufactor. Once Ragost enters alongside pingers such as Reckless Fireweaver and Ingenious Artillerist, every artifact entering or leaving the battlefield burns all opponents simultaneously. The deck leverages incidental lifegain from Food sacrifices to untap Ragost on end steps and trigger card draw from The Gaffer and Haliya, Guided by Light. While it eschews high-velocity infinite combos and stack interaction, its dense web of recursion via Scrap Trawler, Daretti, Scrap Savant, and Wake the Past provides resilient mid-game endurance, reliably finishing the table by Turn 8.
