Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari life-gain and token-swarm deck helmed by Blech, Loafing Pest, who turns every life-gain trigger into a +1/+1 counter on your Pest, Bat, Insect, Snake, and Spider creatures. The primary strategy is to generate a steady stream of 1/1 Pest tokens with death-trigger life gain, then use payoff cards like Sanguine Bond, Dina, Soul Steeper, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Syr Konrad, the Grim to drain opponents while Blech pumps the board. Combat is a secondary win condition, with deathtouch from Ohran Frostfang and trample from Blossoming Bogbeast turning an otherwise small army into credible threats. The deck lacks infinite combos and instead grinds out value through recursion, incremental life gain, and repeated token generation.
