Commander: Norman Osborn // Green Goblin

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Grixis discard-and-connive deck built around Norman Osborn (who turns into a mayhem engine as Green Goblin) and the Villain creature type. The strategy uses the commander's combat triggers to draw and discard, putting cards into the graveyard to fuel mayhem - a mechanic that lets you cast them from your graveyard for a discounted cost on the same turn discarded. The deck aims to generate incremental advantage through connives, token creation (Ultron, Unlimited, Avengers: Under Siege), and the removal of a Plan chain that ends in huge value spells like Glorious Purpose. Combat wins often come through high synergized Villain armies, pumped by Doctor Octopus, Master Doomer or The Squadron Sinister, plus repeated turn pressure from haste effects and goad pieces like Puppet Master, String Operator. The format is tuned for midrange grind; it will eventually drown opponents in cards and board presence without combos. ---
