Deck overview

This Abzan deck focuses on assembling a lethal, heavily keyworded commander in Kathril, Aspect Warper through graveyard setup and midrange reanimation. During the early turns, the deck fills the graveyard using self-mill creatures and discard effects like Grisly Salvage, Satyr Wayfinder, and cycling big threats such as Titanoth Rex and Void Beckoner. Once keyword-rich creatures like Zetalpa, Primal Dawn and Akroma, Angel of Wrath reside in the graveyard, casting Kathril distributes essential combat counters—including double strike, trample, indestructible, and hexproof—while growing Kathril into a lethal Voltron threat. Kathril can eliminate opponents via commander damage across consecutive attack steps while lifelink buffers life totals. If Kathril is removed or disrupted, redundant reanimation spells such as Eerie Ultimatum, Ever After, and Ascend from Avernus bring back massive keyword threats directly to the battlefield. The strategy combines resilient combat power with targeted removal, creating an inevitable combat engine.
