Jace Precon Upgrade

Format: Commander

Commander: Jace, Multiverse Architect

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 38

Deck overview

This deck leverages Jace, Multiverse Architect as a reliable command-zone Polymorph engine. By excluding low-cost creature cards and relying entirely on noncreature token generators like Bitterblossom, Skrelv's Hive, and Black Market Connections for early board presence, every polymorph trigger guarantees a devastating high-mana creature or planeswalker. The deck accelerates through a dense package of two-mana artifacts to cast Jace on Turn 4, immediately activating his −3 loyalty ability to drop game-warping threats such as Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Archon of Cruelty, Avacyn, Angel of Hope, or Hullbreaker Horror. Redundant cheat spells including Mass Polymorph, Synthetic Destiny, and Proteus Staff ensure the strategy functions seamlessly even if Jace is countered or removed. Once a dominant board is established, the deck protects its lead with board wipes, token generation, and indestructible effects before finishing opponents through overwhelming combat damage.
