Deck overview

This deck is an Esper combo-control list commanded by Queza, Augur of Agonies that converts massive card draw into life gain and life loss. Powered by an elite fast-mana package, the deck quickly accelerates into high-output card engines such as The One Ring, Rhystic Study, and Necropotence. Its primary win condition pairs Queza with cards that draw whenever life is gained—most notably Lich's Mastery, Marina Vendrell's Grimoire, and Drogskol Reaver. This creates a deterministic loop that empties the library, drains the table, and concludes with Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac. Lacking nonland tutors, the deck relies on raw velocity, cantrips, and wheels like Windfall to cycle into its payoffs. Spot interaction like Dovin's Veto, Mana Drain, and Void Rend protects the board while soft stax pieces like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse and Teferi's Puzzle Box steadily tax opponents.
