Chief Warg by Psyga315

Format: Commander

Commander: Chief of the Wilds

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Wolf-tribal midrange deck helmed by Chief of the Wilds, whose trigger-doubling ability supercharges every Wolf and battle trigger in the 99 while it grows from each Wolf that enters. The primary plan is to establish a wide board of Wolves, turn on the Ferocious synergies (power 4+ creatures), and grind opponents down with combat damage amplified by +1/+1 counters, Garruk, Cursed Huntsman's emblem, and token generation from Dancing from Dark to Dawn and Chief Warg's Company. There are no infinite combos - the deck wins through incremental value, counter growth, and inevitability. Secondary paths include Last March of the Ents burst draw into a board dump, Sarulf, Realm Eater as a repeatable board reset, and The Darkness Crystal/Shadow of the Enemy for graveyard theft. It is a fair, grindy deck that rewards patience and board development.
