Deck overview

This deck is a classic Azorius Pillowfort Control strategy designed to construct an impenetrable defensive perimeter before closing out the game with Approach of the Second Sun or evasive aerial threats. In the early game, the deck deploys attack taxation enchantments such as Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Sphere of Safety to disincentivize combat steps directed at its life total. Card draw engines like Rhystic Study and The One Ring fuel continuous land drops and keep interaction flowing. Once mana reaches seven or eight, the deck shifts from pure defense into active win lines. It either casts Approach of the Second Sun and rapidly digs to resolve it a second time, or resolves Absolute Virtue to grant total protection from each opponent while applying an uncounterable 8/8 flying clock. Broad sweepers like Farewell and targeted countermagic keep opposing combo and go-wide strategies completely contained.
