Deck overview

The Astonishing Ant-Man turns card draw into +1/+1 counters and converts those counters into Insect tokens. The deck develops with basic land ramp, Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and land-search spells, then builds a token board through repeated commander activations. Cryptolith Rite, Springleaf Parade, and Adrix and Nev, Twincasters can greatly improve token production, but the deck does not reliably assemble those pieces together. Card-draw payoffs such as Bred for the Hunt, Curiosity Crafter, Kindred Discovery, and Bident of Thassa help replace cards after attacks. The main finish is a large attack backed by Overrun or Overwhelming Stampede. It can normally establish a must-answer board around turn 8 and finish through attacks around turn 10, but it lacks a deterministic combo, a hard lock, and enough tutors or protection for competitive play. Simic Ascendancy and Laboratory Maniac provide slower alternate wins rather than dependable primary lines.
