Snake Bite by Lorq

Format: Commander

Commander: Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari -1/-1-counter aristocrats deck built around Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons. Every source of -1/-1 counters becomes a deathtouch Snake token, and every token death can be converted into life loss through a dense drain package. The deck plays a midrange attrition game: accrue Snakes, draw off deaths with Moldervine Reclamation and Morbid Opportunist, then close the game either with an infinite Blowfly Infestation death loop or a poison finish via Fynn, the Fangbearer and Triumph of the Hordes. It also packs a solid recursion suite in Eternal Witness, Victimize, Animate Dead, and Cauldron of Essence to grind through removal. The commander is central to the fastest lines, but the list still functions reasonably well as a value deck if she is answered.
