Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black control and stax strategy commanded by Maha, Its Feathers Night. Maha sets the base toughness of all opposing creatures to 1. By pairing Maha with continuous -1/-1 static debuffs such as Night of Souls' Betrayal and Kaervek, the Spiteful, or repeatable pingers like Pestilence and Crypt Rats, the deck creates an asymmetric lock where opposing creatures die immediately upon entering the battlefield. Supported by dense tutoring, big-mana engines like Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast, and heavy card advantage from Stinging Study and Massacre Girl, Known Killer, the deck controls the board before closing out the game. It finishes through commander combat, life-drain bursts via Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Exsanguinate, or an infinite life-drain loop with Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Sanguine Bond.
