Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Toughness Aggro strategy commanded by Doran, Besieged by Time. It leverages high-toughness, low-power creatures to generate both mana tempo and massive combat damage. In the opening turns, early ramp pieces accelerate deployment of Doran, Besieged by Time by Turn 3 or 4, granting cost reductions to disproportionately large creatures like Indomitable Ancients and Bedrock Tortoise. When these creatures attack, the commander provides a burst of power and toughness equal to their stat disparity, turning defensive walls into lethal attackers. The deck breaks parity on board wipes using Slaughter the Strong and Fell the Mighty, purging opposing battlefields while preserving its own creatures. Redundant damage assigners such as Doran, the Siege Tower and Assault Formation guarantee that the deck functions seamlessly even if the commander is removed.
