Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov attrition and combat-reanimation strategy led by Squall, SeeD Mercenary. The game plan accelerates Squall onto the battlefield on Turn 3 using fast mana artifacts and rituals. Once in play, Squall attacks alone to gain double strike through his Rough Divide ability. Dealing combat damage twice per turn triggers two reanimation effects for permanents with mana value 3 or less. The deck leverages this capability to repeatedly recur sacrifice creatures like Plaguecrafter and Accursed Marauder, discard engines like Hopeless Nightmare and Burglar Rat, and stax pieces like Archon of Emeria. While opponents are starved of cards and board presence, Squall scales his commander damage with equipment like Tarrian's Soulcleaver and Brotherhood Regalia to eliminate opponents across successive turn cycles under the protection of Grand Abolisher and Kaya's Ghostform.
