Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal midrange strategy commanded by The Ur-Sphinx. It leverages the commander's eminence ability alongside an array of 2-mana artifacts and creature-based cost reducers to deploy high-impact, high-cost Sphinxes well ahead of curve. The early turns focus on ramping and establishing persistent draw engines like Rhystic Study or Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign. By Turn 5 to 6, the deck transitions into a lethal threat state, attacking with evasive flying creatures, cutting life totals with Magister Sphinx, and generating overwhelming spell advantage through The Ur-Sphinx's attack triggers. A tight interaction package of efficient counterspells and exile removal ensures opposing combo and aggro lines are kept in check while the aerial board finishes off the table by Turn 8.
