Deck overview

This Orzhov life-drain deck, helmed by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk, combines a symmetrical tax effect with a robust drain engine. The primary game plan is to assemble the infinite life-loss loop of Sanguine Bond and Exquisite Blood, supported by redundant drain pieces like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Enduring Tenacity. The deck also leverages stax elements (Ghostly Prison, Painful Quandary, Drana and Linvala) to slow opponents while accumulating life and card advantage. Secondary wins come from large X-spells (Exsanguinate, Debt to the Deathless) and Aetherflux Reservoir. Liesa herself provides a constant drain and lifelink, accelerating the life total swing. The deck is a classic control-combo hybrid that aims to outlast the table and close with an unstoppable loop.
