Deck overview

This Golgari Commander deck fuses classic Elfball swarm and explosive mana generation with an asymmetric -1/-1 counter attrition engine commanded by High Perfect Morcant. The early turns focus on developing efficient mana dorks like Llanowar Elves and Priest of Titania to cast Morcant ahead of curve. As Elves enter the battlefield, Morcant repeatedly triggers blight on all opponents, placing -1/-1 counters on opposing creatures and proliferating them to clear away utility creatures and opposing commanders. Synergies with Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Nest of Scarabs, and Blowfly Infestation turn opposing creature deaths into fresh tokens and card advantage. Once a critical mass of mana and creatures is assembled, the deck pivots into decisive overrun finishers like Craterhoof Behemoth, Finale of Devastation, or Ezuri, Renegade Leader, or executes an infinite mana and draw loop with Priest of Titania and Staff of Domination to eliminate the entire table in one attack.
