Deck overview

This Dimir Zombie tribal deck is commanded by Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver, focusing on recursive aristocrats strategies and token attrition. The game plan centers on curving into early Zombie creatures and mana rocks to deploy Wilhelt by Turn 4, converting disposable bodies into decayed Zombie tokens and drawing extra cards on the end step. Mid-game turns focus on deploying lords such as Death Baron and Cemetery Reaper, or stacking death triggers with Bastion of Remembrance, Blood Artist, and Syr Konrad, the Grim. Mass recursion cards like Zombie Apocalypse and Victimize provide resilience against board wipes, while Dictate of Erebos turns voluntary sacrifices into devastating asymmetric creature clearing. The deck closes games around Turns 8 to 9 by wearing down all three opponents through unblockable or evasive Zombie combat damage coupled with large chunks of life drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel or sustained aristocrat death triggers.
