Deck overview

This Azorius deck leverages Lavinia, Azorius Renegade and an extensive suite of over 25 stax pieces to disrupt opposing resource acceleration, commander access, and combo lines. By layering hatebears such as Drannith Magistrate, Cursed Totem, Hushbringer, and Deafening Silence, the deck slows the table to a crawl while maintaining parity through on-curve land drops. Defensive enchantments like Ghostly Prison and Ensnaring Bridge prevent crackback damage from opposing creature boards. Victory is achieved either by casting Approach of the Second Sun or scaling an unanswerable Soldier army through Myrel, Shield of Argive, whose passive Grand Abolisher effect prevents interaction during your combat steps. While the deck boasts format-ceiling proactive denial, its lack of tutors and fast mana forces it to rely on natural draw steps and methodical combat finishes across several turn rotations.
