Smear Campaign

Format: Commander

Commander: The Muckslinger Gang

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Jund "power matters" deck is helmed by The Muckslinger Gang, whose +3/+3 anthem to every non-attacking creature and every creature spell in hand, graveyard, and library supercharges a strategy built around growing enormous creatures and converting their power into damage. The primary win path is sacrifice-for-damage: Fling, Thud, Kazuul's Fury, Soulblast, Ziatora, the Incinerator, and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord turn a doubled 20/20 into lethal. Power-doublers (Unnatural Growth, Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, Ouroboroid, Kami of Whispered Hopes) and power-based draw (Greater Good, Rishkar's Expertise, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds) fuel the engine, while Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma discounts the big bodies. Secondary lines include trample combat beats and token generation from Bitterblossom and Nissa, Voice of Zendikar. It's a classic midrange Jund value pile that wins through overwhelming board presence.
