Deck overview

This Izzet Spellslinger deck is commanded by Vivi Ornitier, combining aggressive spell velocity, burn triggers, and compact infinite combos. Vivi Ornitier serves as both a scaling mana ritual and a win condition, gaining +1/+1 counters and pinging each opponent whenever you cast noncreature spells. The deck sets up early with efficient cantrips and mana artifacts, deploying the commander by Turn 3 or 4. Once operational, it leverages cards like Curiosity, Archmage Emeritus, and Storm-Kiln Artist to cycle through the library while stockpiling mana. The primary win lines revolve around compact two-card interactions: creating infinite hasty copies via Dualcaster Mage and Twinflame, or infinite untaps and noncreature casts via Isochron Scepter and Dramatic Reversal. Supported by a robust counterspell and bounce suite, the deck plays a flexible game, controlling dangerous threats before executing a decisive same-turn finish.
