Deck overview

This Sultai deck focuses on Kotis, the Fangkeeper as an indestructible foundation for powerful mutate stacks. By casting Kotis on turn 3 and mutating large creatures like Brokkos, Apex of Forever or Otrimi, the Ever-Playful on turn 4, the deck turns combat damage into free spells exiled directly from opponent libraries. Supporting cards like Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief and Vesuvan Duplimancy duplicate mutate spells and targeting buffs, rapidly multiplying board presence. Dense 1-mana protection spells defend the central creature against exile and bounce effects, while mutate triggers provide continuous removal, ramp, and card draw. The deck closes games around turn 6 through overwhelming commander damage, cloned mutate armies, and opponent win conditions cast for free.
