UW Abdel Adrian // Candlekeep Sage cEDH ** STAXX** Update: Aug 5 2026 by theseguys5

Format: Commander

Commander: Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward and Candlekeep Sage

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a high-power Azorius blink-combo list helmed by Abdel Adrian, Gorion's Ward paired with Candlekeep Sage. The core plan is to land Abdel, exile a dense package of rocks and ETB creatures under him, then repeatedly flicker the commander to generate Soldier tokens, refill mana, and draw cards off the Background. Those loops convert into clean wins through Thassa's Oracle (infinite commander ETB/LTB draw) or Walking Ballista (infinite mana via Ashnod's Altar). The list is packed with cEDH-grade fast mana, a deep tutor chain (Spellseeker, Recruiter of the Guard, Enlightened Tutor, Mystical Tutor), and an elite free-counter / turn-protection suite that lets it force the combo turn. Secondary axes include value blink with Displacer Kitten and Eldrazi Displacer, plus a stax/hate package (Drannith Magistrate, Archon of Emeria, Teferi, Time Raveler) that slows the table while the engine comes online.
