Deck overview

This Jeskai deck pairs Kratos, Stoic Father and Atreus, Impulsive Son to execute a snowballing midrange game plan built on experience counters. Early turns focus on establishing low-cost Gods or counter generators before deploying both commanders on Turns 3 and 4. As God creatures attack and trigger Kratos, experience counters rapidly accumulate on the player, amplified by cards with proliferate like Thrummingbird and Tezzeret's Gambit. Kratos converts these counters into substantial +1/+1 buffs on each of your end steps, turning your commanders into lethal combat threats. Simultaneously, Atreus converts the experience counters into repeatable card draw and table-wide burn. The deck protects its board using free commander spells such as Fierce Guardianship and Flawless Maneuver. It can finish games through overwhelming combat with Akroma's Will, infinite extra turns via Sage of Hours, or infinite combat steps using Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine.
